I had to let you all know how amazing my living room looks now with the new fireplace mantel and shelving system in place. It went from a mundane, fragmented room to a seamless and elegant space. When I walked in after the installation for the first time, it was a shock to realize it was the same room. Mat is a true creative genius. Part of why it looks so good is not just the design, the quality of the work is impeccable.

Just as important, it was such a pleasure to work with all of you, what a delight! And I really appreciated the extra effort to get the mantel manufactured and installed in time to move into my new home on schedule. This was a great long-term investment in my home, and in the meantime I can appreciate it every day.

Mat created a modern design in a rich chocolate color with a flawless installation. We like the work so much that we had the Flying Turtle Cast Concrete come back and create custom tiles for our entry way. The custom fire place is the showpiece of our home and totally unique.

When I started out on this project, I knew I wanted something special and cutting-edge, but didn’t really know how to design it. Mat came over from Flying Turtle Cast Concrete and knew right away how we could anchor the fireplace with his beautiful cast concrete surround. He drew up in minutes something I knew would be perfect for both of our fireplaces. A month later, he installed the mantels to perfection. I love the color, the proportions, the design. Mat is professional, and eager to please. I can’t tell you how pleased we are. In construction, things rarely go seamlessly, but they did in the case of our fireplaces. They are truly special.
